Wichita, KS — The Wichita Area Builders Association (WABA) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Wesley “Wess” Galyon, a nationally respected leader in the home building industry.
Galyon served as President and Chief Executive Officer of WABA for forty years, dedicating his career to strengthening the building community across the Wichita region. Under his leadership, the Association experienced significant growth, expanded member services, and deepened its advocacy efforts on behalf of the residential construction and development industry. He was named WABA’s first-ever President Emeritus by its Board of Directors in March 2025.

I will cherish the year we shared together at WABA. Wess’s impact on the Association, as well as the greater Wichita metro area, will be felt for generations. Please join me in including Wess’s family in our thoughts and prayers.”
